RE: Can Ams in the snow and mud

The reason I showed the video was it showed a 400 outlander beating some larger ATVs which is no big deal most of them were Honda's.

RE: Trying to decide between a few bikes?

The Can Am is about the same weight as the grizzly 700. I have been riding polaris 500 sportsman and the weight on those isn't too much lighter. Seems like most of the bikes Im looking at are around 600lbs. It's seems as if everytime I have my decision narrowed down something else happens and my mind starts to sway. lOl, but I appreciate all the help and look forward to more opinions from all you all. All the information has been invaluable.I think if you weigh the polaris and the Can Am the Can Am will only be about 50lbs lighter.

RE: Can Ams in the snow and mud

Mud Nationals is in NO way a good comparison for real world use.
1. These ATVs are HIGHLY modified.
2. The "mud pit" they race it is little more than deep dirty water.
3. I've seen countless Hondas make it thru the pit...so how hard could it be?
While I agree the Can-Am 800 (IMO) is one AWESOME machine...I wouldn't base my opinion on Mud Nats. That might be but in this Video it looks like they have it under control. One of thenthe littel 400 outlander is only a 400.

Can Ams in the snow and mud

Why do they do so well ln the snow and the mud is it their power or the way the trailing arm rear end goes though the mud and snow. What is it three years in a roll at the mud nationals.
